From 1 - 10 of July the Sufi Summerschool days are traditionally held in this extraordinary location that used to be the abode of Hazrat Inayat Khan and his family. The period of 1 - 10 July is especially significant because it covers the birthdays of Inayat Khan (July 5th), his brother Maheboob Khan (July 7th) and his grandfather Maula Bhakhs (July 10th) Maula Bhaksh was a legendary musician, composer who was skilled in both the great Indian music traditions: the Hindustani music (from North-India) as well as the Carnatic music (from South-India) Some of the music he passed on to his grandchildren and notated by Maheboob Khan. Tammo will present his interpretation of a selection of these historic pieces.
